Introduction of Gizmo Management Suite

We are happy to announce the public release of our newest software suite "Gizmo Management Suite"! A fully standalone software that incorporates all the features you loved in Gizmo.

We would like to note that the current status  is "Beta" and thus not all features are yet open. You can download and try the release using your current trial/subscription.

New build released! - v. 1.9.36.0

We are excited to announce a new Gizmo update with many extra features and fixes!

BEFORE UPGRADING

THE NEW VERSION REQUIRES .NET VERSION 4.6.1 IN BOTH SERVER AND CLIENTS.

DO NOT INSTALL UNTIL YOU HAVE UPGRADED ALL CLIENTS & SERVER. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN CLIENT UPDATE LOOP!

If, during install, you receive a message that you have already a newer version, do the following:

Create a copy of your Gizmo Server folder
Uninstall Gizmo Server from add/remove programs
Install the latest version on the same folder as the old one
Your settings should carry over automatically. If not, then copy paste the "Settings" folder from your old installation.

As always, REMEMBER to backup your database & your old Gizmo server folder before each upgrade!

Changes to our License Authorization Certificate

Some of you might have already noticed the changes to both are Forums and our Helpdesk. These changes where accompanied with a migration to a newer and (hopefully) more robust server.

The migration procedure also required an update to the Gizmo License Authorisation Server and its Certificate. Unfortunately, due to a Microsoft Security Update, the Certificate now requires a specific Windows Patch to be applied to Servers running Server 2003 or Windows XP. In the event you are experiencing an error message during Gizmo Launch "The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel." you will need to install this Windows Update: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968730

As you may notice the version format has changed in order to clearly reflect the version changes in the future

If, during install, you receive a message that you have already a newer version, do the following:

  • Create a copy of your Gizmo Server folder
